    Okay, possibly stupid question

We know that opioid overdose occurs with excessive opioid use. We know that police confiscate opioids all the time. Sure it’s needed as evidence for a while, but it’s gotta be destroyed eventually, right?

Why aren’t they using that and giving them a ridiculous dose to cause them to OD? I’m talking like 10x what would normally be expected to kill the person.

Not that I’m in favor, but it feels like they aren’t really trying.

Because the cruelty is the point.

Like the nitrogen execution recently should have been simple. But the point isn’t just to put these people to death, it’s to make them suffer the whole time they’re dying.
