  • Just based on the article headline alone, if it’s anywhere near as bad as the headline, you know those kids are gonna get into the real world and already be leagues behind everyone else. They’re gonna eventually “write” a letter to their dad about how much they hate him for what he did, but the dad isn’t gonna know whether it’s AI generated or written by their own kid. The kids are gonna be so incapable of doing everything themselves and so reliant on AI that they can’t even think for themselves and use an AI whenever a simple question comes up. Even just basic “what’s your name?” type stuff.

I hope I’m wrong and the parent is actually gonna intervene and help the kids learn that AI is a hallucinatory nightmare that is more wrong than right in many real world scenarios and applications. I hope the parent isn’t just letting them learn literally everything from the AI and enforcing the belief that the AI is more competent and knowledgeable than a professional in a specific field of study.

  • To put the post title in a way AI user can understand ( maybe ):

    🤖🧠⬇️

Hell, we’re gonna be lucky if in a few years AI reliant people are able to even read emojis. They’ll be so braindead that you ask them any question and they won’t understand a word you say. I’d be surprised if these people will even be able to survive on their own. Wouldn’t be surprised if we needed assisted living homes for chronic AI users, too.

  • On a personal level, I don’t like the see through towers or really basically any RGB. I have a keyboard that has RGB and if I could turn it off while also being able to see the keys properly, I would turn it off. It’s currently at the lowest setting I can do it and still see the keys.

Also not a fan of the super fancy schmancy gaming mice because I’m a firm believer trackball mice are superior.

No opinion on gaming headsets other than the ones with the attached mic are stupid looking. Design of headphones and such are slightly less important to me than the sound quality, so I can let some dumb designs slide if the quality is fantastic.

  • I may not like the .ml political stance, but there are definitely people on there that may have non-political things worth listening to, which is why I haven’t bothered blocking them. They may have some good opinions on open source software and such. I just avoid their news community because I know I will disagree with them and their stance.
