On the FIFA example it actually look good. The “wet skin” look that photographers love and AI plaster everywhere, is more realistic than the default skin texture they used.

Light rail need to drive on the same side as other surface transport because they share road. Else they need to be fully separated, which is costly enough where at this point it is better to build heavy rail.
So you will always have a complex interchange between light rail and heavy rail on those countries.

Assuming you are alone in a car, you will be easily at 6-8L/100km, while flying in economy class you will be around 2-3L/100km per person, depending on how much they sardine can you. Airplanes are actually incredibly efficient, we simply travel much further with them.

Airplane got a huge correction because emissions at high altitude is worse for the climate.
This part is a fairly new consensus, at some point air travel was even maybe beneficial for the climate due to formation of cloud cover.
