Husband gave me a heads up I should clean my nebulizer because our kid was messing with it while I was in the shower.
Opened it up to clean it and found what feels like a vaguely threatening message from the Godfather.
Don’t worry, it won’t turn into carcinogenic dust… unlike the filters 😅
At this point all we are is carcinogenic dust in the wind.
Is there actually a link between carcinogens and nebulizer filters?
It seems that anything that powders finely enough gets implicated in cancer… laser printers are probably worse, but yeah 😕
A bunch of different models had foam filters… the foam eventually degrades into dust, the CPAP machines then pumped said dust into people’s lungs.
I want to say somewhere in the 2008-2014 range is where you’re going to find the journal articles. Don’t have the reference handy at the moment… but I can probably dig it up tomorrow if scholar.google.com doesn’t provide the article.
