    I wouldn’t call him a celebrity at this point. And I don’t know that being a professional athlete automatically makes one a celebrity either. There are plenty of pro athletes that can walk down the street unrecognized. Just because you’re in the NFL doesn’t mean everyone knows you.

      Buddy of mine is in the nfl. He’s been recognized like twice in 4ish years.

      Oh and the one guy got the team wrong so I’m half thinking someone else recognized him first and just didn’t say anything.

          Yeah only a handful of folks in professional sports end up being celebrities. Most of them just collect their check and live it up quietly, doing the occasional interview that gets watched by 20 people or so. :p

          I’d love that life.

            Same. I don’t want to be the star, I want to be the person that makes the star look good, like be a clutch second string that doesn’t screw up while the star takes a much needed rest. You’re still making crazy money, but you also get to live a reasonably quiet life.
