I kind of cracks me up that “regular riders” objected to changes in the wayfinding system. Like, if you’re a regular rider, the wayfinding isn’t for you. You know where you’re going already. It’s for new users. They are the ones who should get to say if it needs updates or not.

I’ve used many cities’ public transit systems, and the DC Metro is the only one I’ve never been able to find my way around. The available signage and info has always seemed outright hostile to informing people of anything. It needs all the help it can get.

Better have a plan b

Might also attract even more fare-hoppers. It’s a little better with their barriers but it still happens.
