So every 2 weeks in average you have a workplace child labour death? I’m going to go on the assumption that child means under 18 and not actual children but that’s still fucked up.
Well, it’s really hard to know for sure since a lot of children are paid off the books. We do know that the meat industry hires kids because of workplace accidents
I’d presume a kid doing e.g. newspaper delivery and getting hit’n’run by a car is what counts towards these statistics. On one hand I want to think that a country like the US is above and beyond child labour, but on the other… I remember how 50+ years of family/kids movies made it seem normal that 12-13 year olds have to work to get some allowance/money to buy things for themselves…
You presume, and think and whatnot. I think it’s bad kids are dying at work. We are not the same.
