I never feel like I can strike the right tone with memes. And I know there are bigger things than the TN governor race right now. But I think if Blackburn didn’t get the Governorship, a lot of peoples’ lives will be better. And I think it would be pretty dang funny.

The people whose vote matters here are not on the Internet like us. They are on Facebook. No Internet fame will save her.

You might be surprised at how many Tennesseans are outside the conservative media bubble. There are a few of us represented here in the thread, and there are more I know of that aren’t. I think the longer Trump continues to shit the bed, the wider the cracks in the bubble will get.

I don’t really expect internet fame to save her campaign. She’s already doing fairly well, compared with previous candidates. I just want to help at the margins, and since I don’t have any money I thought I’d give this a shot.

Man please. I’m in Tennessee. Got a green sign in my yard. Doing my part. But jfc these idiots out here will not vote for their own benefit.

My favorite deal is Demoncrats will ruin this state.

Mofo.we live under a super majority. They’ve had control for like 30 years. Our lives aren’t better. Ffs.

The lack of education and division via racism is working here. :/

Lotta people out here who will vote republican just to spite a democrat. But I think there are more who just buy the line that republican governance is a foregone conclusion for TN, so they don’t bother to vote. Governor Lee only got 59% of the vote in 2018, and that was only with ~50% voter turnout. I think that’s an easily overcome-able margin, especially considering Blackburn’s history of passing legislation that favors those who bankroll her campaigns.

I don’t know who has what on Marsha, she really is just a check cashing service, but the state is corrupt AF and she’s silent and obedient and Trump’s anointed. It’s a safer bet than the stock market.

The part of Nashville that isn’t white girl drunk is still upset that Memphis dares to not call shit shinola. There’s no way they’re going to let a lawyer come in and start fucking up their paychecks.

Tennessee is about 18% Democrat, 34% MAGA, and 48% Independent.

Independents decide EVERY election in this country. Nobody wins with just their party base alone. Independents across America are breaking hard for Dems in this election. Most polls put them supporting Dems at about 66% or higher.

If you want to win, court the Independents.

So I had to look this up because Wisconsin has similar weird demographics skewing heavily toward independent. In the case of Wisconsin, its because party registration stopped some time after 2004, when I first registered (meaning I’m permanently registered as a dem, even if I don’t want to be, because we no longer have a mechanism to change it), and we now have open primaries instead.

TN is similar in that they don’t require party registration, and they have open primaties which makes registering pointless. I wasn’t really able to find info on whether or not you still CAN register with a party if you really want to, but I’m kinda guessing no for the same reason you can’t in Wisconsin. They just don’t maintain those systems anymore because they don’t need them.

I don’t think states with closed primaries or required party registration have nearly the same level of independent population, and thus influence from independents, but I’m sure that’s on the rise too, as dems have spent decades alienating their base.

I’m in TN! Hoping she wins. Marsha sucks balls. Refuses to debate her. “I speak to Tennesseans everyday”. Yeah sure. The MAGA ones.
