minus-squareCyberEgg@discuss.tchncs.delinkfedilinkarrow-up4·1 year agoWhat is “me”/“mich”/“moi” in dutch?
minus-squareKualdir@feddit.nllinkfedilinkarrow-up7·1 year agoI believe you’re looking for “ik”? ikiks 💀
minus-squareCyberEgg@discuss.tchncs.delinkfedilinkarrow-up4·1 year agoMaybe, I don’t know. That’s why I ask. At [email protected] we call memes “Michmichs” because me = mich in German.
minus-squaregerryflap@feddit.nlOPlinkfedilinkarrow-up4·1 year agoYeah “ikiks” wouldn’t really work haha. “Mijmijs”? Idk at R*ddit people used “meems” in the Dutchs communities. Sounds logical to me, it’s a Dutch sounding word that believably could be “meme” in english. Just like “name” is “naam” in Dutch.
minus-squaresykaster@feddit.nllinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·1 year agoThe official accepted in the Dutch community is memerijen, liberally translated at memeries
minus-squaregerryflap@feddit.nlOPlinkfedilinkarrow-up2·1 year agoI can live with that haha. Memerijen sounds like the more formal word. But it’s also silly so it’s okay
minus-squaremadjo@feddit.nllinkfedilinkarrow-up2·1 year agoAnd using “MeMes” (“me”, “mij”, “mijn”) isn’t funny enough.

Mijmijs is not too bad
Ambachtelijke memerijen. Echt handwerk.
