Watching this feels like a masterclass of diplomacy. Zelenskyy is talking directly and respectfully to the Fox audience, while trying to clearly explain why Ukraine can’t just bow down to faulty peace deals without question.

        Why?

Like, obviously bullshit propaganda, but name a cable news network not owned by corrupt billionaires who only bought it to manipulate public opinion.

Bernie’s been on there so often they probably have a chair with his name on it.

If you genuinely want to talk about helping Americans, it’s not impossible to get your message out.

Hell, Pete goes on there all the time too. It’s not just progressives.

We can’t reach them by being more conservative, but still to the left of Republicans.

We have to reach them by authentically telling them how we’d help everyone. That can be sold on Faux News these days even if the hosts fight against it.

But you can’t just trot someone out there to say “my name isn’t trump!” and expect to get applause.

It was the right thing for him to do- to go on and talk to those viewers - but i felt dirty watching the channel and changed it immediately after.

The people billionaires who bought CNN flat out said they were gonna emulate Faux News in order to manipulate the viewers with a focus on ad revune and outrage over information…

            Years ago bro.

Like, one is worse, 100%. But we’re getting to the point where it’s like comparing “shot in the head” to “shot in the head, then they pee on you”.

Whether or not that is the reality, that’s been the opinion of a large segment of reliable dem voters. And a good amount of R voters as well, then obviously nonvoters think that.

There’s a shit ton of votes on the table for an authentic candidate, they just can’t get past the shambling zombie of Hillary’s “victory fund” that keeps getting handed off during the primary.

Someone is going to be running in the 2028 dem primary with it btw, it didn’t just disappear.

I hope Zelenskyy’s adroit maneuvering gets him… somewhere. God knows the US can’t be relied on, but keeping a good image may help with Europe.

Okay, that’s creepy. I just saw an 11 minute video of the “diplomacy” meeting (I think the Forbes one), and I haven’t even watched the one you linked, but I glanced at the comments and most of the highest upvoted ones are identical between the two videos. There’s some serious botting going on.

      There’s a YouTube version now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfqLcBwUT_E

I partially wanted to show that, as twisted as Fox news is, they are at least hosting this interview without (much) bias on their front page. It’s important, as this is what most of their audience will see of Zelenskyy, and this is essentially as “primary” the source can get.

Zelensky brought it into himself honestly. Wtf was he thinking discussing security guarantees too early in public? I’m glad he was humiliated.

LOL, only Trumpers think Zelensky was the one that looked bad in that altercation. Everyone else in the world knows Trump and Vance were behaving like angry children at him fact-checking them, and he took their tantrums like a champ. You’re the one with a distorted view of reality.

Watch the whole 40mins, it was Zelensky who decided to challenge Vance with a “what kind of diplomacy are you talking about” in the last 5 or so minutes, then the blow up happened. Totally rookie move from Z after getting triggered by Trump’s lack of negative outlook on Putin.

Not sure how you think Zelensky is the one that was humiliated.

Trump blowing is the one that was humiliated by the events, not that he’s capable of understanding that through his narcissistic personality. All he did was show his complete inability to actually operate at this level. There were 3 people in that discussion, and the only adult was Ukrainian. Being the only adult in the room isn’t humiliating.

If 3 years after the start of an invasion is too early, then when? Additionally, you sure that’s the one who was humiliated?

Too early in the negotiation process which just started, not the timespan of the war.
