I don’t get how posting films to Youtube is some sort of miracle of film preservation. WBD owns multiple streaming channels — why not just post them there?

What happens if you don’t respond?
It wasn’t always that way. When it started, Amazon had some neat ideas like having customers vote on pilot TV shows to indicate which ones should go to series. A lot of the pilots they didn’t pick up were pretty good.
They also bought the rights to the Expanse novels and did a great job making them into different TV seasons. They even took chances on some interesting shows like “The Peripheral” and “Moonhaven”.
The enshittification of Amazon Prime likely has a lot to do with paying for Bezos’ big budget pet projects like “wheel of time” “and Lord of the rings” sucking the funding out of other projects. I expect with the Bond franchise purchase, this will just continue to be a problem. Even with as much money as Amazon, there’s only so much you can throw around.
Do you have citations for “Apple has rolled over for law enforcement in the past”? I’m wondering if this is country-specific.
Fortunately you can still back up your devices locally, and store your photos locally, and these backups can be encrypted.
Not really caving. The alternative was to provide the government an encryption backdoor. That’s what the UK feds asked for.
Womp womp.
I hope this means they kick out their current CEO who has been trying his best to turn Target into Wal Mart.
I’ve just stopped watching. Plenty of other stuff to do. If they don’t want to show me their ads that’s their problem.
HP is a US-based company. So that means someone in the US pushed for and approved this change.
Grapple? I left Meta. There was no grappling.
Not necessarily a bad thing, but there’s always the risk of overexposure/backlash. Doubly so when you start seeing the same actors play five different superhero leads.
I also worry about a performer’s well being when they start showing up in just about everything. On top of the performance, they have to do talk shows and press junkets which can be brutal. Take some of that money you are making and spend it on a nice break and vacation for a change.
Brutalist architecture follows function through form about as well as modern big box warehouses. Slather a bunch of concrete or other rock together, make sure it’s dimly lit with recessed or tiny windows, then make sure none of these windows open to let in fresh air.
Remember how prior to 1970 you had these cool grocery stores with curved rooflines and all glass fronts? Now you have square boxes with flat rooflines that leak, stained drop ceilings, and garish fluorescent lighting. Same concept.
In typical brutalist fashion, there appears to be very little natural lighting on the upper floors.
Dude must be built like a lumberjack! 🥁💥
Oh look, it’s Pedro Pascal again. Dude is showing up in as many shows as Nicole Kidman these days.
Which is interesting because Biden had the majority seats on the postal board last year. He could have removed DeJoy and appointed his own ten year postmaster. But no.
Does VW even make the Jetta anymore?
Probably the best he has looked in a long time. Beard looks good on him.
So arrest them after the session ends? You can’t give people perpetual immunity to everything or they’ll just break all the laws.
They’re already working on it.
