A senior federal prosecutor in Washington resigned on Tuesday, citing what she called an improper demand by appointees of President Donald Trump’s administration to launch a criminal probe of a government contract awarded under former President Joe Biden.

Denise Cheung, who supervised criminal cases at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, said she had been ordered to open a probe into a contract that she did not identify and that she believed the request was not supported by evidence, in a letter reviewed by Reuters.

When she declined to launch a grand jury investigation citing a lack of evidence, she said she was ordered instead to pursue an asset seizure to prevent the recipient of the contract from drawing down the government funds.

All of it until it is gone. Give me the power. I’ll root out every single Rooskie connection. They’ve been sloppy with it. It won’t be hard. I already deal with constant stupid bullshit and fuckery at my current job. At least this one would come with the satisfaction of knocking down bad people in power.

So you would stay in the position and do what they told you to do? Because that’s what staying means. They quit so they’re not a part of it.

Your daydream is not what happens in real life.

They want them out and to be replaced with loyalists. The reality is this is what they want you to do.

It’s easy to judge when you’ll never be in the position these people are in. You’re not showing strength, you’re showing ignorance.

This is a coup. Organize. I wish I was in a seat of power. I’d be raging at the machine just like I am now.
