What’s your favourite watch?
4X strategy game - you control an insterstellar galaxy and make it what you want! Nothing like taking a colony of mushroom men to the stars over a long weekend!
I mostly drank spiced rum or a nice glass or two of resld wine - if I had a proper desktop setup again it’d be a nice peaty Islay or something now I’ve developed a taste for that!
Wholesome - I like it! I used to enjoy having a long slow drink while I played Stellaris…
I think this is a common theme.
As a fellow ex-believer I get this; I suppose I mean “what do you do to help you get through life”…
I’ve never smoked weed.
I couldn’t swim until I was maybe 10 or 11 and it was awful. Thankfully my parents moved and my school mandated lessons - but I wasn’t confident until maybe my late teens/early twenties?
I think kids should learn as early as possible and it makes me a bit sad that my niece and nephew haven’t learned yet (and are unlikely to as their schools don’t teach them and my sibling doesn’t seem interested in getting them lessons or teaching them). We live on an island with a lot of water inland - it’s more important than other stuff like riding a bike!
What restrictions do you have? I understand that nobody is an island, rather that it can sometimes be helpful to reframe things in your mind.
Obviously there are immovable restrictions (you are a carer to family, or can’t leave an area for any number of reasons), but sometimes it can be helpful to view things from a different angle.
Being single can be massively freeing, especially where work is concerned - you have many fewer ties geographically as to where you can go to find work. If you can travel (car, train, whatever) then you have a great blank slate to work from.
It can be daunting starting again but you just need to handle your shit one step at a time, and you have the luxury of being totally independent.
Have you paid for a service that uses AWS though? Youay never know if you’ve funded the big A.
