Thankfully, Dyson doesn’t eat his at all. Our other cat does, but she’s slowing down in her old age.

2·2 months agoMeh, the German lady that I saw sunbathing topless in Belize was built for comfort rather than speed. And that’s perfectly fine.

2·2 months agoEuropeans have a different attitude about nudity. Perfection is not required.

3·2 months agoGreece in summer would probably be pretty hot. I don’t do well with heat, so that lets me out.

4·2 months agoYou can do it, I have faith in you. 😸
Well, I know that flat faced breeds like Persians often have tear duct surgery. Dyson is a regular domestic short hair, but he has a chronically weepy left eye. The vet thinks he may have once had an infection that left it plugged with scar tissue.
Ha ha, he is far from “good”. After a lifetime of easy cats, the universe decided to send me a difficult one.

cats@lemmy.world•It was cold. This stray kitty chose me and napped for half an hour.
5·4 months agoWhat a little sweetheart. I love tabbies.
Hollow and Kitty look like a matched set, though of course that’s no guarantee they’d get along.

9·4 months agoWell, presumably there are doors and stairwells.
Too small, unfortunately.

cats@lemmy.world•Has anyone tried one of those Ulvra Pounce Pal toys? Are they any good?
1·4 months agoUpdate: the toy arrived today. One cat is fascinated by it but won’t get down off her chair to get close to it, the other seems afraid of it.
On the plus side, it’s good for getting into tight spaces that the vacuum cleaner won’t reach to pull out dust bunnies. Just have to teach it to stop saying “EXTERMINAAAATE” in cat language.
I’ve been growing indoor plants for decades. It’s just cat grass that doesn’t seem to work for me. Heck, I even got one of those grocery store orchids to bloom again every winter.
I tried that last winter. It made no difference. I can grow indoor plants, just not grass for some reason. If I could persuade them to nibble on phalenopsis orchids, I wouldn’t need the grass.
It doesn’t live long enough for that.
It gets plenty of water, but more light isn’t an option.

Thank you for sharing. Most of us have been there and we all carry our previous cats around in our hearts.
