  • And in the gun world if someone is willfully and blazenly mishandling a firearm to the point of endangering people you have a license to shoot them if they aren’t responsive to someone telling them to stop (non-lethally ideally).

Dude, nuh uh. You’re gonna go to prison for this shit one day, have fun in court!

    Btw, https://worldanimalfoundation.org/dogs/are-pitbulls-dangerous/

It’s a fact: any dog can become unpredictable depending on unique circumstances, and ‘some’ dogs inflict serious and even deadly damage. One camp would like to see pit bull breeds euthanized and illegal to own. Others, including experts, suggest that pit bulls are no more or no less unpredictable. (Than other dogs).

Second side note, tip from ex-pizza guy, carry mace. It’s 2x important for you as a gun owner as an intermediary between words and bullets for nondeadly threats, unless you like entangled fights for the gun to see who shoots who first, but also it works wonders against dogs. There, now that you’re protected genocide becomes unnecessary and you don’t have to go door to door shooting dogs in the street in front of children who love them and stuff.

  • I know a woman (60+) who has a lifelong fear of dogs from being attacked and scarred as a child by one of these. Furthermore as a cat enjoyer, I posit that all dogs can kill my little buddies and even though we’ve coexisted as species for half a million years (didn’t look it up) I think it’s time for a doggy genocide too, I’m with you! In fact most animals are dangerous, racoons often carry rabies and can kill people becauase of that. And now that I’m thinking about it people kill each other more frequently than any of the above, I think the only responsible thing to do really is to extinguish all life on the planet, that way nothing can be dangerous anymore!

It’s not like a small cannister of OC spray is enough to deter even a hungry violent stray or anything, much better to genocide entire species off the face of the earth.

  • Point of order, an effigy by definition would be a dummy/representation of the thing that you then symbolically destroy.

As in, you make an effigy of Mussolini out of cloth and stuffing and burn it in a protest before lining him against a wall, killing him, and defiling his corpse. The corpse itself is not an effigy unless you then use that and make it look like Hitler, and then burn the Mussolini-Hitler corpse as an effigy of Hitler, which tbh would have some layers to it and seems like an innovation in effigy technology…

  • This is basically how I got started too, but worse lol. Mine was just w10 wouldn’t make it past the “pin” screen, just blackness, tried to let it load for 24hr and it never did, so instead of even trying recovery I just rescued my files with a live usb of fedora (mounted that drive and bypassed the pin no less, who knew) and once I was done just installed fedora. Never looked back, it physically pains me when I have to use windows at work.

  • In some respects, yes. In the respect they are talking about in this comment, not so much.

The point of their comment is that even if you’re born with something in common with another person, say both of you are born left handed, what else can we infer about both of those left handers? Nothing, nothing at all. Sure they may have other things in common, they may both like the same music, but that isn’t due to their left handedness.

In some ways you can infer a few things about a group, for the book club example, you know they like books and that’s it, if it’s a science fiction book club then you can also infer they like science fiction, but can you tell me the race, age, sexuality, gender, food preferences, music preferences, TV preferences, medical history, yadda yadda, anything else about all the members of that book club? No, you can’t. Because (and this was the point of their comment) book clubs and those in them (and all other groups that aren’t used for examples here too) are not a monolith incapable of individual thought.
