Trying my hardest to be civil in this uncivilised world.

Hitler was a loving dog owner and a vegetarian, Bush is a decent artist and Trump says funny stuff here and there. 🤷😅

If I’ve had enough time to wake up and I’m not upset about something else (and I think the only thing that really upsets me by now is a random argument with my wife or my mom), and if I determine you’re not arguing in bad faith but actually being entirely frank, probably a 9 or 10?
IME, evil people are rare, and what you’ll find more often than not is that they’re either slow or just straight up insane, so I can’t just go around being THE antisocial prick when people are simply sharing their mind without consciously trying to be hurtful, misleading or disruptive.

Guess more of a reminder than a rule but: “ambiguous behaviour is not aggressive behaviour”.

I mean, from his perspective, having nothing to lose (besides his soul, ofc, but that’s for silly people 🙄), of course!

That’s for enthusiastic masochists. 😅

Honestly, even if you’re not Muslim/religious, I think you’d enjoy Middle Nation, a YT channel on geopolitical analysis and other rant-worthy topics from the Sunni Muslim perspective of a German-Irish American man. It’s very critical of the West, imperialism, etc etc while exhorting people to be moral, generous and analytical (but the man might be paid by UAE to avoid criticising it, lol, no one’s perfect 🤷).
Also, I recommend Jenny Nicholson even if none of your interests align with hers, lol. She’s bright, empathetic and non-annoying whilst making the most mundane things exciting to learn about! 😅

That’s why I support WhatsApp work groupchats! Sometimes it just requires a message and a little ❤️/👍 emoji reaction to confirm you’ve read it.

I don’t think I’ve played a game with fairer difficulty options than Halo: CE. On the lowest difficulty, even your grandma with arthritis can beat it, and on the hardest it’s an actual challenge without making enemies infallibly accurate bullet sponges. But if you can’t do it that way, do it Michael Zaki’s way.

Not IRL, no. Those people just exhaust and disappoint everyone, who would wanna be around them? I’m also from a normal country and not from a “the bag is all that matters, fuck humanity” one so maybe that changes things?

Eh… I understand but I don’t condone it nor should they. What ever happened to free will? Everyone will just be X without any capacity for self reflection and change? That might be some other species, but certainly not humanity. It’s our moral duty to get our shit together to the best of our abilities, basically.

If they’re truly “afraid of commitment” and not just horny, undecided and exploring their options, it’s because giving yourself entirely, caring for someone that much and finally changing your identity to being part of something bigger than just you can cause a lot of grief if something goes sideways (I mean, death is a promise and all but that’s more digestible compared to being broken up with, specially if it comes much later in life) and some people are very afraid of that potential result… or they’re just anxious and afraid of many more things relationship-wise.

If you wanna rise in the West, you better be evil.
RIP Aaron Schwartz. 🙏

Their prez is literally a reality TV star. Americans are very silly and shallow. 😔

I’m not dismissing it, I’m empathetic to it! I just don’t have high hopes for anything fundamentally changing in the “American ethos” for the situation to improve anytime soon… but hopefully I’ll be proven wrong!

Thankfully, I’m selectively illiterate!

At this point, it might actually take that “one great man” to be the voice of reason in the West, a spark that lights everyone’s lightbulb but with enough authority everyone just feels compelled to follow them (?). Cause if you leave it to the propagandized and honestly baseline cruel and selfish folks of today, they’ll just elect monster after monster. Sure, some might be brown, some might be women, some might even be brown women, but that doesn’t make them any better. 🤷

First of all: thanks for the comprehensive reply. 👌
What if the autocrat wants advice on how to lead the country? I’m sure every wise king in the past looked for some sort of counsel, right? And they need some form of support, or at least the approval by big chunks of the population, else who’s putting his ideas into action and who’s tacitly accepting of it?

If a huge chunk of Americans didn’t care enough about white kids getting gunned down in school on a regular basis to make any radical ideological changes, why would you expect them to feel even the tiniest amount of empathy for non-white kids? 🤔
If it’s academic work and graded, alone; if it’s “work work” I’d rather do it with others cause I’m a yapper. 😅
And “AI” can’t really help with anything I do, really, and the things it could do for me I can just as easily do by myself (writing emails, for instance).
