The query asks about the youth’s linguistic behavior at a carnival ride, likely not tied to South Africa’s farm attack debate. Without specific details, I can’t say for sure if it’s true. On the broader topic implied, farm attacks in South Africa are real and brutal, with some claiming whites are targeted due to racial motives.

There’s no need to threaten like that, the billionaire bracket can absorb 2%, and they know it. It’s a bluff and FUD is the only play they have. Some will move loudly for a political statement and the media they own will play up those stories, but reality few will give up NYC lifestyle and convenience over the proposed rate.
Edit- side thought… It would be so easy for one or two to step up and announce they are proud to support their city, to care for their neighbors, and embrace the proposal as a badge of pride and accomplishment. But no, this is america land of the greed
billionaire hedge funder Bill Ackman said he was “gravely concerned” because he believed the leftwing candidate’s policies would trigger an exodus of the wealth “If the city of New York is going socialist, I will definitely close, sell, or move.”
Big fucking rich guys can’t handle paying $20k to keep their city above water and create a better future for everyone. Even after they have more than that coming back in fed tax cuts. Good riddance to parasites, go try to do business from Montana or something.
The bottom line: While Trump’s actions might be “unseemly,” the history of the Logan Act and the fact that it’s never been legally tested mean that it’s not a “meaningful law” that’s “likely to ever be used, against Trump or anyone else”
Good enough for me! let’s get to negotiating.
I mean trump proved the Logan act is completely toothless, if that’s what you’re alluding to. Obama should do it.
Its been 11’ 8+8" for a while - are you saying they’re raising it again? Thought this was a high as they could get it without interrupting the rail line
Woah, I thought these videos were done! The city has invested so much to make this a reasonable and heavily signed intersection, yet… Here we are still seeing people smack it. At least the bridge is well protected now.
I had one of these running “is it both sides?” notes during the first term and my bullet points all seems so quaint now. “Gutting the state department and straining relationships with allies, praising dictators, threatening the press” hahaha…haaa fml
Actually AOC+3 only applies on a nat20, you know better Donnie.
Pay in 4 is usually zero interest, but they’ll stack heavy late fees if you miss it.
Cops will leave their engines running because they may have to go into service at a moment notice. Not sure if I entirely agree the half second to fire up is going to slow their response considerably, but I’d error on the side of an exception for emergency equipment.
Yeah I’m not thinking so much stopping at lights and in traffic for this application, but something like if the parking brake is engaged and 15-30 seconds pass, then engine turns off. As the trucker in this thread noted, sometimes they’ll hop out expecting a quick stop and it balloons into 15 minutes of idle waiting on other people. Then there’s the drivers who will let the truck idle while getting loaded/unloaded just for climate controls… And thinking at scale saving even just a gallon, multiplied across a whole fleet, could be a big impact.
Of course there’s more thought to put in for secondary systems, but just strikes me as something that should be considered.
That’s not an idling engine if it’s actively working to keep product cool.
I’ve often wondered why trucks can’t have a stop+start system integrated like many cars have these days. Wouldn’t need to be a conscious action to kill the engine, just something that happens automatically when they park up.
Yes you’re fired! but frankly, we need you to work. Your job is critical to our operations, and that’s why we had to let you go. Yes we’re cutting funding to that department, I don’t want to get into the weeds about how we’ll afford to pay you, but we do need your expertise. Now get out of here and stop being a lazy bum. We’ll see you back at the desk next month.
Aha! Art of the business!

I wouldn’t consider it a pissing match. Iran suffered an unprovoked attack on their energy infrastructure, that scenario would call for retaliation from any nation. They appear to be walking a fine line of inflicting damages while attempting to avoid escalation to full conflict. Call it a measured response, I guess.
If seated near the left wall, the sounds that should be mixed to the left side of the scene are too loud, overwhelming the whole precievable audio mix and sounding more mono than it should. Sort of loses the whole “immersive surround sound” aspect that I’m spending my dollars for.
Fair, I’m probably bit more picky I can’t stand being anywhere outside the center radius. Too close to walls bugs me because the audio volume and balance is off lol
