Yeah, but here are my thoughts.
There is so much that is actually happening right now and stuff that is still unconfirmed shouldn’t distract us. This should be pursued for sure, but until it becomes actionable, we as people not in the press, should focus on stopping what we can.
Can’t we just give gitmo back to Cuba and ask them if we can build a monument to those interned there.

I guess I’m saying, instead of building new toll roads, let’s use that money to start fixing it.
Well if we can’t fund so many roads with taxpayer dollars, maybe we should have less roads and invest in reliable public transport.
We don’t have to live in a world paved over with impermeable surfaces that are only for our multiton death machines that help destroy the planet.

I guess my sticking point is, does it matter if it was intentional? Contact with Europe destroyed them from both accidents and outright malice. It was still genocide even if it was on accident, imo.

It is truly staggering the extent of the destruction we caused on the natives to this land.
Wiki says 96% of them were killed. That’s something like 3.6 million humans were slaughtered.
And most all of their land taken.
It’s an injustice in this country that we don’t learn about it more and try to atone as best we can.
I know it doesn’t help you, but weed really helped me curb my alcohol use. I’m in the same boat. I self medicate and drink too much. I’m worried about my liver, but I don’t drink and drive and only drink beer.
I stupidly have given myself a nicotine addiction with sachets recently that I need to fucking stop. I noticed nicotine makes me grumpy, which is a drastic change for me.

I just got most of my friends and family on signal. I’m kind of scared of our government for the first time in my life.
