I love the lore and story, especially Warcraft 3, but a story-driven RTS makes no sense to me. I like both separately, but not mixed together. Probably same thing with Starcraft, but I’ve never tried it.

Just applied to NASA with this code and they accepted me. Should have posted it under AGPL.

Just like with most open source code - I have absolutely no idea what to do with it, but I still love that it’s freely available.
What if they’re smoking estrogen joints though
Since when is Scam Altman on Lemmy??

Rich pedophiles really will close entire stores, losing 100% of profits from them, rather than let them unionize, losing potentially 5% of profits short-term.
Batman is a fictional character made specifically to glorify rich people. Even the most ‘nice’ or ‘generous’ millionaires+ are leagues and leagues beneath Batman.
Which by the way is not to say we cannot enjoy Batman or any ither fiction. Just pointing out broader context.
Both sentiments are perfectly valid. I think people are just expressing disappointment with wealth inequality in general, not building criticisms of either option.
Once, I was literally 2 minutes late. The doctor was busy talking to a nurse and only asked for me in 5 minutes, at which point he asked me why I’m almost 10 minutes late.

You take a short nap and suddenly everything is 40x more expensive…

It’s the most common type of colour blindness by a huge margin. To be more specific, it’s two different types of colour blindness - protanopia (can’t see red) and deuteranopia (can’t see green). Together they’re usually referred to simply as red-green colour blindness.

Neither perfect nor good are in any capacity available anywhere in the US.
Let’s try aiming for “just a teeny tiny bit less evil, but still absolutely despicable”. This sounds realistic.

When I hear ‘mainstream phone’, in my mind I picture an iPhone or a Samsung. So yeah, Linux phones are definitely not achieving that this decade. Though personally I don’t think they necessarily need to, at all.
Point 4 is probably not happening any time soon, if ever, either. Rest is slowly being done and progressing, so I’m not seeing any major problems there.
I don’t think anyone realistically expects a Linux phone to compete with an iPhone in terms of ease of use, quality of life features or UI/UX. As far as I’ve seen, people just want a decent phone with basic functionalities like long battery life, good camera, easy to use and smooth UI, maps and navigation. All while being more private and secure, of course.
You know times are tough when even the chair needs to sit down
Not only more profitable, but more valuable as well. Not that it’s particularly valuable.

Linux phones have already been around for many years. Right now we’re very close to Linux phones that are usable on a daily basis. Not as close to decent Linux phones, of course, but with the right (not at all unrealistic) resources it could be completely within reach in a year or two.
Also, Flatpaks exist and work pretty much just like Android apps.

If they’re so talented and experienced, then why’d you fire them for no reason? Surely the company expects to continue growing and will need more employees, not fewer.
It’d be a good start to just conduct proper tests before handing people firearm permits. People who can barely read or who rage when you honk at them should never be allowed to own, let alone carry firearms.
On the other hand though, Linus isn’t exactly an ‘average user’, having spent most of his life working in the IT industry. I’m not sure it’s completely fair judging him as if he was a random clueless person either.
