[I was probably wrong, disregard]
I learned, that when olive oil first was introduced in Sweden, it was as a laxative, sold in pharmacies.

Looking at the power line on the picture: HAHA no.

I’d argue it’s generally a very sane reaction to instinctively say no when some service you don’t know about wants your password.
The commentor you replied to obviously didn’t know about the pedigree of haveibeenpwned beforehand

Fair, I misstated that. A deliberate leak from there would be quite the blow to his reputation.

I’d argue though, if you use a single password for everything, its probably more secure to add it here to at least get an indication when it’s breached. Your surface in that case is already so large that the difference is negligible compared to the gained warning.
That said, don’t reuse passwords!

very sane reaction.
I have to say though, haveibeenpwned is very well regarded in the industry, and is run by a well known security expert. A leak from there would be quite the blow to his reputation.

That said, while I happily give them my email-addresses, I have never given them my password.

Wouldn’t that be somewhere along the lines of $1000 per person, if divided over every single person in the world?

Well, more along the lines of 10% of all the worlds money.
… very reasonable indeed 😜

Kagi has AI features, but I’ve only ever seen them in the settings. They have never once pushed me to use them. Which is good, as that would be pretty much a dealbreaker.

Isn’t this almost exactly what Elon said?

now that I can get behind!

That must be where the swedish word comes from then: “Hårfön”
I didn’t know that

Hah, I didn’t know it wasn’t. (not english native speaker)
Using that word misses out on the much more fun original name: Acetylsalicylic acid.
yeah, I get why “Aspirin” stuck
yes???
