I’ve had a similar response.I was kinda ready to accept the new price but then they started pushing an even higher price so I got an opposite reaction where stars would have to align for me to care about any game over 60 and even 60 is pushing my willingness to pay.

Goodeye8@piefed.socialto Games@lemmy.world•As The Outer Worlds 2 hits $80, director says "we don't set the prices for our games" and wishes "everybody could play" Obsidian's new RPGEnglish6·6 days agoThem: “we don’t set the price”.
You: “I’ll buy it if you set a lower price”.
So people don’t even read the headlines anymore?
Goodeye8@piefed.socialto Games@lemmy.world•What game has the best tutorial, in your opinion?English4·6 days agoI was coming here to mention Dark Souls. It’s an excellent example of how to make a tutorial not feel like a tutorial. Either you take the time to understand what the game is telling you or not, up to you. Don’t care about going through the entire tutorial area? Just beat the boss and start the real adventure.
Goodeye8@piefed.socialto Fediverse@piefed.social•What do you want most from the Interstellar app?English2·6 days agoIf you could add that it would definitely make my day because it’s my biggest gripe with the app. But it definitely should be an option so people who enjoy the current implementation could stick with that.
I also remembered another thing that’s a bit annoying. Sometimes I want to visit specific communities because they’re not popular enough to always pop up in my feed. I’m not sure how you sort the subscription list but it makes no sense to me. I ended up starring the handful of communities I specifically visit because finding them from my subscriptions list was just too much effort. I think it would make sense to have communities in an alphabetical order, first by community name and then by instance name. Not a big issue because I was able to filter out the specific communities I was looking for but still a bit annoying because I first need to find the community before starring it.
Beyond those two things you’ve done an excellent job with the app.
Goodeye8@piefed.socialto Fediverse@piefed.social•What do you want most from the Interstellar app?English4·7 days agoI don’t know if I’ve missed some configuration option, but I really don’t like how the current reply works and I would love it to work like it works on most Lemmy apps. You press reply and you get a new view where you only see the comment you want to reply to and then your own reply.
The issue I have with the current reply is that it’s just too small. It’s a third of my screen so not only do I not get a good overview of my reply I also have to scroll a lot just to proofread.
I don’t need to see all the other comments when I replying. Let me focus on the context of why I’m replying and what I’m replying.

Goodeye8@piefed.socialto Fediverse@lemmy.world•We have launched a PieFed instance!English23·12 days agoStrictly personal reason. When the lemmy devs asked for monetary donations I voiced my concern with Lemmy.ml, which they also maintain. In response one of the devs called me a cheapskate, so I decided I’m done with Lemmy until more normal people become maintainers
Edit: forgot to add that it wasn’t the only reason. The devs themselves are rather controversial in their beliefs and moderation and I had reluctantly tolerated thoss things up to that point. The dev interaction was simply the last drop in the bucket.

Steam is giving it for free, but the game has 23% positive recent reviews.English199·14 days agoI haven’t read the new TOS but if this review is correct it looks like a GDPR nightmare for them. Good luck to them explaining why they need to collect all that personal data.
Goodeye8@piefed.socialto Games@lemmy.world•The first weekly What Are You Playing? thread!English3·14 days agoYou can skip some fights by running past enemies, but if you’re struggling with combat the best solution is to take some time to optimize your builds. The game incentivizes glass cannon builds where you generally kill mobs before they can even attack. If they can’t attack you don’t have to worry about dodging/partying. I won’t give any actual builds, those take too much effort and IMO it’s more fun to figure them out yourself. But I will give some tips to make combat easier.
If you have defensive pictos/lumina equipped swap them for damage or AP.
Don’t be scared to use color of lumina (for more lumina points) as you can get hundreds of them throughout the game. Trust me, having more lumina equipped will absolutely make the game easier
Also don’t be scared to use recoats to respec your characters, you can get plenty of recoats. Try out different skills as some of them are more useful than others.
If you’re struggling to strike first in combat equip first strike lumina on all characters. That lumina pretty much becomes mandatory in late game as even with all the speed modifiers stacked you still might not start first.
Also invest points into agility. Agility is the main stat for speed and speed dictates how often you can attack.
to somewhat defend Bungie, you can’t own an art style. The person whose work Bungie ripped off has a case for the specific assets that are clearly her (I think the artist was a woman?) work. However assets that are inspired by her work but aren’t exactly her work is completely fair.
But that actually makes Bungies situation even worse because they don’t even know how many artists they might’ve ripped off. Could be just this one, could be five, could be a dozen. They don’t know. IMO serves them right because they clearly don’t learn from their mistakes.
