I think the question is, why are you bringing up millennials when the issue of microplastics did not start with them, nor will it end with them.

From a selfish perspective, why should the entire populace be forced to give up small luxuries in their increasingly difficult lives just so that a handful of large corporations don’t have to make any changes?

Why isn’t it that these large corporations should be forced to change, thus removing the need for everyone getting rid of their small luxuries?

Just seems ridiculous that the message is “everyone should give up their creature comforts and live as simply and tediously as possible so that billionaires don’t have to change”.

If you believed the BS here, you would think the entire city of Venice was taking a stand and making it hostile for him and that certainly his wedding would be a miserable experience full of protestors and anti-Bezos street art. In reality, barely 100 people ever protested. All the floats and signs you saw posted were performance pieces, quietly removed by officials minutes after they went up. In reality, Bezos and all his rich guests had a great time and didn’t see a single protestor because security wouldn’t let anyone unvetted come anywhere near the wedding party.

But… They’re right? The NWS did send out a warning shortly after 1AM. It was local emergency officials who dropped the ball and didn’t pass on the warning until 7AM.

18-25 has always, and will always be, the demographic with the lowest voter turnout. By a significant margin. Nearly every election, people seem to get this idea that “This time it will be different! The youth are really fired up this time! It’s important, so I’m sure they’ll turn out!” And then the election happens and they never even break 50%.

It’s not a messaging problem, or an outreach problem. There is essentially nothing that can change it. The issue is, and say it with me; 18-25 has always, and will always be, the demographic with the lowest voter turnout.

Haven’t really been following things super closely because it’s like looking into the sun, but are you talking about the famine they are causing, or the IDF killing people at food aid sites, and just calling that the Hunger Games? Or are they actually gathering groups of two children each and putting them in an arena with weapons in the center and having them fight to the death?

I ask because you said LITERAL Hunger Games, which implies it’s more than just the famine or the aid site murders.
