Kitchen sinks. Instead of doing the dishes they just let them accumulate!
You wouldn’t download a C drive.
Whether it’s now or later, life has to get a lot worse before it gets better. People will have to feel a lot more pain than they’re feeling now before they do more than bitch and moan online.
Feudalism come back like crabgrass, because people who figure out how to benefit from it are far more motivated than those of us who just want to live. Pro tip: Rebrand it as Freedom!
Time flies in the upside down.
I don’t think the actions of the WV legislature necessarily reflects voters being anti-union. Lots of MAGA voters are finding out the hard way that the politicians who promised to protect them from socialism or wokeness or whatever don’t necessarily GAF about them.
He must mean the 2021 state law that codified a 1990 state supreme court decision that called a teacher strike illegal. But using the actions of a group of coal miners, a state court and a legislature to demonstrate indoctrination seems like a strange comparison. I would compare maybe two public opinion surveys from those years.
That’s the beauty of it - you can!
side note: My all-time favorite linux utility is “fuck”. When you make a mistake and get a command line error, you type the word fuck and it looks at what you previously typed and the error message, and tries to figure out your mistake and what you should have typed instead. Then it types that in for you. If it’s correct all you have to do is hit Enter. Or you can edit first, but it’s usually right. Amazing tool, and doesn’t even use AI, just a list of common errors. It’s been around for years and years. Its mere existence really captures the whole culture of linux IMO.
On the plus side you aren’t invading Poland over it. /s
They might be upset over GNU meaning “Gnu’s Not Unix”. Or just ran out of meds.

Currently basking in the glow of installing Mint and finally kissing Win10 goodbye last night. Today I’m just sitting here quietly installing software and realizing how easy ti is, but I pity da nex foo who strikes up a conversation about computers.
I think you pretty much just now wrote a landing page, you just need to turn those into links and host that page somewhere.
Sure, you could create a database or JSON file with attributes of each thing and use React or Node.js to generate the UI, but that doesn’t seem necessary for a need on this scale - when things change just edit the landing page. I’ve been keeping links to my soft copies of D&D books and stuff with a simple HTML page for years, and I’m a web dev. No need to do work the requirements don’t demand.
I disagree. I just found a link to lemmy.world, with no idea of how lemmy worked, and I’m perfectly happy. To me it seems like people’s endless complaints about servers come down to personal issues.
We took some measurements and the results were negative.
TBF in this case stands for “to be rational”.
