I seriously don’t know how you’re this off mark about all of this. No one has said to pirate games from companies that doesn’t do what the thread is about. It’s literally only about either pirating or not playing the specific games from the companies who shut down games.

Same here in Sweden, there are som variations on what kind of carton boxes but never seen any plastic or styrofoam.
That’s just fucked up. Clear plastic seems like the worst possible container as it gives little or no protection, and is obviously plastic which the world only needs less of.
I always felt that they are still wasted, just in another way. They’re recently awake, on the way to work that for the vast majority isn’t something they’re excited about. They’re drained and don’t want to be there. I always thought I’d much rather choose my position in those moments than theirs. And I’m sure at least some see us (in this situation) and are envious.
That’s definitely not about her husband, it’s about scare tactics. The reason behind using scare tactics can be many, like religion, suppressed sexuality, what she was taught or even just not wanting to deal with her students doing stuff. It’s absolutely not ok to say that no matter the reason though.

I think it’s just as good, just in different ways. As a kid you don’t understand a lot (especially if English isn’t your first language) and if you are old, like me, and didn’t have the internet to help you. It wasn’t so much about completing the games or being good at them, you just had fun and did whatever you felt like. Spent so many hours just fucking around and trying things.
As and adult it’s still as much fun but more about experiencing the stories, fully completing the games etc. there’s also so many more games to choose from and stuff like mods, emulation, remakes etc. I play a lot of indie games too.
Currently playing the Twilight Princess decomp (dusklight), my first time playing the game, and having a blast. I’ve also dabbled in game making, 3d modeling, pixel art, map making etc. and creating my own mods and stuff like texture packs. Also got several IRL friends who are indie game devs (Dennaton (hotline miami), YCJY (keep driving, sea salt, post void) and more) so it’s something I talk a lot about and see part of in my daily life.
It’s just such a fucking constant thing everywhere online, anything about America is just written like it’s a worldwide thing because most Americans need to be told that the rest of the world exists for their broken brains to remember that.
It’s so fucking tiring just seeing the never ending “here’s a thing” that’s very specifically about the US but posted everywhere and never titled or talked about like it’s a US specific thing.
It’s not just titles either, it’s the articles those posts link to, the videos, the everything all the way that not a single person thought “oh, this is US specific and should probably be shared as such”.
A 3,000 punt vehicle will have a lot less braking distance than a 6,000 pound one.
A big vehicle like that has a lot more horizontal blind spot, it’s been a major thing with drivers of those monstrosities literally not seeing kids, people in wheelchairs etc.
Most people are out of their depths with such big vehicles in many ways, they should require a specific license because it’s such a different thing compared to a normal sized car in so many ways.
It’s a real bad combination of way to big cars with all the negatives + phone and in car touch screen use. It’s absolutely not 90% either of them, it’s a combination.
This is also mostly American, no other country has cars like that in those numbers (per capita), and Americans also have a higher phone usage while driving percentage than most of the world.

I thought this was about the book (which the movie Mickey 17 is based on). “Hatch day” kinda makes sense for that too because of the cloning. So my immediate thought was “what year do you think we’re in?” as the movie takes place in 2054 (not sure about the book).
