Never seen one without a “jump to recipe” button at the top, and I read a lot of recipes. So this is only stupidity on the readers part.
“Well at we now know”
Uuh?
How do you not understand that someone just having it and someone actively using it is completely different?
Some TIL posts really surprise you, it’s crazy to me that you have never heard about this. Not being degrading or anything like that, it’s just surprising.
And the whole thing about Republicans constantly projecting, they screamed about vote tampering and then shut up real quick as soon as Trump won. And the obvious fact that Trump and Republicans in general constantly cheat, lie etc. IMO it was obvious even before the election that they would tamper, cheat and do everything illegal and unacceptable in their power to win.
I’ve never seen one without a 'jump to recipe" button, and it’s done for several reasons like search engine optimization, getting people to spend more time on your website, and you can’t copyright just a recipe, so adding text gives them the ability to protect their work. There are more reasons, and many think it’s as annoying to write all that as you think it is for being there. They’re kinda forced to do it, and some actually have fun with it, I’ve read several funny ones which I absolutely would rather have read than not.
There are many articles about this, and obviously also many posts everywhere on the web asking why it’s a thing with answers explaining it.
But as said, there’s always a button right at the top to skip it. You’re never forced to manually scroll past it and obviously not forced to read any of it.
Hmmmmm, did you have a stroke whilst typing that?
US thing I’m guessing? Here in Sweden, we don’t get much spam mail in the first place but you simply put a “no ads” sign on your mailbox and then only get the stuff you need. The 8 years I’ve lived in my current apartment I’ve gotten like 3 things that weren’t bills and stuff I need.
The advice is/can be used in a ton of different situations, you seem to only think it’s for a very narrow and small part of those. And even then, it’s not always the best thing, someone can be themselves 99.99% of the time but sometimes it’s better to hold it back. Even something as simple as if they’re meeting your parents for the first time and you know there will be problems if you don’t tell them to not mention something, act like they think differently about something etc.
This very much isn’t just about a possible partner for you and all the time. I don’t understand how you thought that was the only thing. It’s like if someone said a common feature of cars might not be worth keeping on all the time and you read that as only a specific line of Volvo cars, in very specific situations and like you can’t turn it on and off. See how weird and dumb that is?
