Every single right leaning person I know LOVES several movies and shows that have main characters that aren’t white men.

The boondocks, blade series, basically anything Morgan Freeman or Samuel L Jackson have done, Lando, Morpheus and uncle Phil off the top of my head.

I am aware there are the super racist far right guys that probably can’t even watch Scooby Doo because the dog is brown, but the grand majority of “right wing” people aren’t white supremacists that lose their shit if a character isn’t white in their movies and shows. Even if that’s what some people here might tell you is the case.

Even if we all had the exact same skin tone there woulda still be racists. They would just move onto hair color or eye color or nose width. Some people just have hate in their hearts and they will use any physical differences to lump people together.

Personally I’m with Morgan Freeman on the topic. Just stop talking about it. Stop talking about race. We are all humans. We all got struggles. Let’s all get along as humans and work together.

Yeah it’s really disappointing honestly. AMD cards just don’t have the raw performance and the it seems even though Intel’s second gen cards were doing alright they don’t want to keep going down that path which sucks. Nvidia needs proper competition and amd hasn’t been giving them a run for performance in a long time now.

First computer I ever used was probably some crusty old gateway with windows 95.

I pretty much only had access to my parents old desktop computers until I hit highschool when they bought me some dell POS that could barely run cs 1.6 in windowed mode.

First PC I built myself was a 770 and some first or second gen i7 that my buddy sold me for 20 bucks lol.

Been building my own computer every few years since. I am currently on a 3080 and i7 10700k that I have overclocked on all cores to 5.2ghz.

I’ll probably build a new system in a year or two when the 6000 series cards drop. I am foolishly hoping that Nvidia has some change of heart about pricing by then lol

She had two wolf/husky dog hybrids and they started fighting randomly while we were talking in her driveway. She stupidly tried to break them up by sticking her arm between them. Well one of them latched on her fore arm and wouldn’t let go. She screamed and I quickly grabbed the dogs scruff with one hand and sent the ol index on a butthole excursion.

Dog yelped and let her am go before it scurried off. I can’t remember if she needed stitches or not but we wrapped her arm up and I think her wife took her to the hospital later that evening. She was fine after a couple weeks. They ended up getting rid of the dogs. She decided she wasn’t the right owner for those dogs. She was right lol.

Idk about all that. I feel like the media latches onto things that are getting clicks which makes the public more concerned something is happening more which means more people click on it.

It’s a disgusting feedback loop that ends up just making people feel shitty.

I love pitbulls. Some of the sweetest dogs I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with were pitbulls. I have only ever been aggressively attacked and bitten by small poorly trained yipyip dogs.

I have been bitten by bigger breed by accidentally stepping on their foot or tail, but I can’t hold those dogs responsible for my mistake and their evolutionary response.

I have been around big dogs for most of my life. One thing I will tell you is that any dog will let go of any bite if you shove a finger up it’s ass. I have helped some neighbors who had wolf dogs latched onto their arm get released with the ol finger up the ass trick.

I’m not saying you specifically OP, but just in general. If karma was the only reason someone was civil on reddit that gives off the same vibes as the people who ask why we aren’t out raping and murdering if we don’t believe in God.

Americans aren’t a homogenous group. In fact I would say we are probably one of the most diverse groups of people in the world. It’s kinda our strong suit.

To answer your question more directly: yes. It is irrational to hate and despise every American at this point.

The line of thinking you’re showing at the end there is very dangerous. I would advise that you take a step back and think about why it could be problematic to apply that sort of logic.

It was always about the money. They only went along with those things because they thought it would result in more money. As soon as it was no longer an easy way to get more money they dropped the act.

The only rancid thing I’ve seen around here is the festering pit where your brain should be.

I would say that I out loud laugh at comments here pretty often. Not because they were trying to be funny, but because these people are so unbelievably disconnected from reality that some of the shit they say is just hilarious.

My only other real complaints on Lemmy is the lack of user feedback and the laughable moderation. Often times I’ll be banned from a sub without me knowing so it just gives me errors for trying to upvote or leave a comment. Just tell me it’s because I’m banned. Giving me an error just makes me wonder if that instance is down or something.

I have been banned from subs I’ve never even interacted with simply because they saw I had comments with lots of downvotes. That’s ridiculous. I have received several bans for rules I haven’t broken. I have lost track of how many comments have been deleted by “automod” days after I left the comment. It’s clearly just a mod using the automod as a layer of anonymity.

Overall I have had an alright experience with Lemmy. Some users are very kind and helpful. Many of them are elitist snobs that think they are the most intelligent humans put on this planet.

I thought reddit was a left wing echo chamber at times and then I got here. I didn’t realize how much worse it could get.
