Looks to me like a self tapping screw which had its head broken off / worn down. You probably just picked them both up from the same spot, double check your driveway / lot

Lately it’s been Gartic Phone, but we also like Code Names, Wavelength, Jackbox… Fun way to spend an hour on a friday

Prok@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Do people really think setting up domestic manufacturing in the USA is easy?5·10 days agoThis is exactly the thing I can seem to get anyone to agree with me on … Imported goods will never become significantly more expensive than American for the reason you just said…
There’s a lot of money in figuring out the right margin below the imported product such that they’ll lose some sales but ultimately profit more because of the increased profit margins. Not that you were seriously saying it would be a dollar cheaper but most I talk with tend to think that difference is much bigger than I expect which tends toward single digit percentage differences
Just trying to figure out how to work those blinds to let more sun in
Prok@lemmy.worldto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•These posts are unhinged. No I don't miss a candidate that couldnt beat donald fucking trump. How shitty do you have to be to lose to him in any fucking universe?5·14 days agoNah, just low effort… that paragraph he wrote is anything but…
Prok@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Beyond RGB: A new image file format efficiently stores invisible light dataEnglish42·15 days agoYeah, it compresses better too though, and jpeg XL can be configured to compress lossless, which I imagine would also work here
Prok@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Power is not energy: why the difference matters [Technology Connections]English6·15 days agoFull disclosure, I didn’t watch the video yet, but it’s likely a difference of environmental impact.
He’s described in previous videos how burning gas at home is less efficient from the standpoint of a carbon footprint. I imagine this video is to help explain everything in a way that helps you come to that conclusion yourself. Teach a man to fish instead of just giving a fish and what not. So you can apply the knowledge to other things in your life

Yeah I don’t plan on switching unless I feel like I need to… Knowing what made others give up just helps me from wasting time fighting through something that might be a common issue…
I picked Nobara for it to be no-hassle, which it’s done a great job of for me so far
Thanks for taking the time!

If you have a moment to indulge a random person…
What made you feel the need to switch off of Nobara? I’ve been using it and it’s been fine, but I’d love to know some things to keep an eye out for
Prok@lemmy.worldto Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•What phrase do you say a lot, like a personal catchphrase?English2·19 days ago“it’s fine”… It’s very versatile for self reassurance. Working on something and find yourself letting perfect be the enemy of good? Just stop, it’s fine. Making some mountain out of a molehill? Stop worrying about it, it’s fine… Before I get too carried away with examples, I’ll just stop there, it’s fine
Then I’d say nothing you do for work is safe
A lot of office buildings actually use metal studs, so these screws are used to attach them together. They’re a common enough thing that I wouldn’t be overly suspicious of anything.
Might be something about the self tapping head that makes them more likely to bite in a tire?? Just speculating there…
