  • I’d also add that companies/government offices should not be permitted to pay any employee more than 100x the annual income of their lowest paid employee. If the owners/executives want to further enrich themselves, they must first enrich those whose labor they profit from.

Include stock incentives in that as well. If executives are offered stock packages in lieu of part of their pay to try to get around this rule, require that proportional offers must also be made to all other employees based on level of income.

  • The plot is basically a loose adaptation of Hamlet anyways, which is about a prince seeking to take revenge on his usurper uncle for the murder of his father, the former king. A monarchist story through and through, because that is the type of society Shakespeare lived in. It was only ever about good kings and bad kings, liberty vs fascism didn’t really factor in at the time.

  • I do not own a Steamdeck, but I will offer my hot take:

Medical professionals say that you should use your bed only for sleep and sex. Sitting/laying in bed at other times causes psychological associations with other activities that can interrupt its primary purpose.

I treat my gaming devices with a similar mindset. I have a work PC and a gaming PC, and never the twain shall meet. Not that I am worried about the enticing distraction of video games while trying to work, but rather when I settle down to play games, I want to do so with no distractions or thoughts of work. If I’m gaming on the same device that I spent all day working on, it’d be harder for me to feel disconnected from work, and my gaming experience would be diminished.

I’m sure this is not a problem for many out there, but that’s my own preference that has served me well for a number of years now.
