Yeah that’s how it’s been for me too. I left for Lemmy and deleted my 15 year account too when they announced to take down 3rd party apps.
I’ve been visiting the Best Ofs, but this stupid pop up won’t let me scroll at all anymore. So. There’s now nothing for me there.

I saw the reposts and that’s just lazy nonsense.
This was a separate thing of me being frustrated. Coincidental, I suppose ¯\(°_o)/¯

I agree with you. Coming up on at least my second year here and I do love it, but I miss some parts of having the bigger crowd.

I know, I know, reddit sucks ass. I’ve been using firefox with ublock to read the best ofs for the unquenchable need for bullshit drama in my life.
But now it’s not just a pop up saying to use the app, but a full ass unpassable thing. Old Reddit still works, but that’s just another step for something that’s already so not worthwhile.
Welp…

Nyan cat for progress bar???

Ohh yeah, I’m using Löve Solitaire and it has a tonne of games as well. I’ve played probably about 20 or so new varieties I’d never seen before. But I’ll check out that one too

I’ll check it out!

:O
Genius

Ooh that was fun. I usually avoid Klondike because there’s no guarantee of being able to win. But I’ll keep this one around

Not OP, but I used Xbox controllers for a long time. I kept breaking them (I have gorilla grip problem), so I got an Xbox pro because I didn’t like how the ps3 or ps4 controllers were laid out. I broke the pro controller.
I’ve switched to a ps5 controller and aside from getting re-used to the button names, it’s been really nice. Super comfy and is holding up really well. I miss some things on my pro controller, but so far this is great.
In all of that,I did use the OG steam controller for a while too and I loved that one, but my hands were too small for some functions, so I couldn’t keep using it.
An 8bitdo controller is next on my list after the ps5 maybe breaks, as I’ve heard very good things.

Simon Tantham’s puzzles
Löve Solitaire
Hole Down
Gridland is less casual, but I enjoy it. Turn off the music at first opportunity tho.
Vector Pinball
Make sure your dog knows they’re loved and wanted. The calmness that helps provide helps a lot when you’re training.
Also please socialize your dog. Dog parks can be very scary for a puppy, so it’s important to try to ease into the socializing. Maybe by other puppy meet ups or if you have friends with dogs.

Not all of these companies pay hourly. Check the contracts and see if you can ask a worker who actually works there.
My ex got duped into one of these for roof repairs, but it was a commission only job that sounded great on paper but was absolutely awful
This looks so familiar. Is this from a children’s book?

Super Bunny Man and Heave Ho for multiplayer games. Single player is doable, but multiplayer is where the laughter really hits.

I’m in the same boat. I have a medium -big dog and I’ve had him for a third of my life. He is my most precious friend and I absolutely treasure him.
But I’m never getting another dog. Not because he’s going to break my heart when he leaves, but because of how much work and money goes into owning a dog.

The movie that came out semi recently was also really goddamn good
Come do it yourself, you coward.
Pamukkale in Turkey.
It’s a really cool hot springs area where the minerals are super saturated in the water and so deposit out in calcium carbonate. Over time it becomes travertine. But just the location itself looks super interesting.
In a similar vein, the salt flats in Utah. When there’s been a rain and there’s standing water over the flats, it becomes a huge reflection - absolutely fantastic set piece for both some unique RP or for a really interesting battle.
