  • I’ve seen the same clip. Charlie Kirk was in the process of answering a follow-up audience question so it could have just as easily been an event coordinator communicating to whomever was running around with a microphone in the audience to get the next audience question ready and potentially even indicating what kind of question they were after given the complexity of the signal

  • Yeah I’m going to be a bit surprised if Trump’s body survived to the end of his term. My wife was a CNA for a while in a couple of assisted living facilities and the conditions he has and the general decline that’s been visible in his public appearances, he’s not got long left at all. For an average joe in a nursing home I’d guess months left, for a leader of a wealthy country I’d say he has a chance of surviving to the end of his term, but he’s going to be less and less able to hide the declining state of his health as time goes on

I was just in LAX the other day and saw one of these signs in the security line. I can confirm with my own eyes that the sign is real.

Honestly, knowing the administration is hiring ICE agents at 100k+ starting salaries (for context, you generally have to be pretty late in a professional career with a multi-page resume to be approaching such salaries) arresting, detaining and forcibly deporting on chartered deportation flights is a heck of a lot more expensive and takes a lot longer than just handing families a couple grand plus $500 in plane tickets to get out. I suspect they’re quietly doing this to bolster deportation numbers since forcibly deporting takes a ton of manpower and therefore is quite a bottleneck for meeting the deportation targets Trump has stated

  • Religion is important though. Ultimately for one to live a fulfilling life one needs to tend and maintain their mental, physical and spiritual health. Religion is how historically most have maintained their spiritual health (and mental health too), and in modern times organized religion doesn’t have a monopoly on spiritualism, so people can find whatever worldview and practices that help them maintain their peace with the universe and their place in it. But importantly, many people do still turn to religion for their mental and spiritual health

  • Movies and TV have in recent decades really leaned heavily into a level of muscle that isn’t possible for the average person to attain without performance enhancements. This combined with gymfluencers who take performance enhancers and people who’s hobby is lifting so they spend many hours a week at the gym plus average people not having the time or money for the gym makes a perfect storm of most people not knowing what a healthy amount of muscle or a healthy build looks like

Oh and expectations have always been for women to be overly thin so far too many women are led to feel that their healthy weight isn’t skinny enough

  • The weirdest thing about this is given his build he could still be much more physically fit than 2/3 of his detractors. Natural muscle is not as prominent as modern media has made it out to appear and to be as crazy built as some folks look you simply have to use extra supplements and push your body far further than is actually necessary for any kind of day to day life. You can be skinny and still perfectly strong and healthy

I bike about 100 miles a week, and every bike ride I stop at the outdoor fitness area for some water and do a few pullups to even put my build a little. I’m skinny and lanky as fuck and honestly built pretty similar to him

  • Yeah I’ve focused more on finding stuff I like, and that happens to primarily be punk music. But there’s a lot of stuff I like and really the only genres that I can’t do are country (it’s just nails on chalkboard for me) and pop (because it’s too over-engineered)

My wife and my oldest enjoy some pop music and I can find the parts I enjoy but it has to be small doses and has to be something with a hint of actual creativity and soul to it
