I agree, but that fight isn’t fought at the ballot box. It’s fought long before then. This is the part that most people don’t understand. They say “but I voted!” as though it’s all anyone could ask of them. But it’s the opposite of that. It’s the least they could do for their democracy. It’s between elections that the real changes are made.

Once you get to the election there are only two options left. You’ve passed the point of other options. You pick the best one, or you stand the chance of the worst candidate winning. It’s not right, but the election came down to Kamala and Trump. A third of the voting population voted for Trump, a third for Kamala, and a third didn’t give a shit and allowed the fascist to win.

That’s not how words work. “best option” mean the better of the available options. It doesn’t mean any of them have to be positive.

I wouldn’t know what centrists care about, but you sure seem to be throwing those accusations around at everyone who disagrees with you.

This is why Facebook is so dangerous. If you really want to give up your own privacy that much, go for it. But when you post pictures with other people in it, or talk about them with your friends/family, you’re giving up their privacy too. And they don’t get a choice about it.

Okay and what does awareness do? What’s the next step after everyone is aware? Just keep posting on Twitter about how much you don’t like things?

You have to take action to change things. Internet posts won’t stop them. Stop making excuses for not saving your own democracy.

Because they’re raiding work places and dragging immigrants off to concentration camps. And you think the appropriate response is posting memes on Facebook? By the time you’ve gotten a like emoji your neighbours are already in the back of a black unmarked van.

Communication on the internet is an important factor, but you won’t defeat fascists with a Tiktok video. That time is passed. You need to organize and gather in the streets to shut the economy down.

You can’t fight a fascist takeover of your country from your couch. I know it’s not the American way, but you have to go out and change it yourself.
