What does this have to do with .NET? AFAIK all the programs mentioned in the article are written in JavaScript, except Calculator. Which is probably Swift.
In theory? Could be cool in some cases I guess. But I don’t really want more tech, nor do I want another device I need to charge. In practice? I don’t trust Meta, or any of these large tech corporations, to not turn this into a privacy and security nightmare. Also a waste of electricity - these AI models will need to analyze a lot of audio and video to be useful.

Wow, I was looking at their product just yesterday for an evaluation. Immediately got a bad feeling by their website, almost as if everyone working on this puts in as little care as possible. And now it makes total sense.
The old saying, the fish rots from the head, certainly applies here. Well I’m not going to recommend this platform, that is for certain.
You might want to highlight what differentiates it from Obsidian, except being open source. Just from looking at the page, I don’t know what it means to have organization capabilities from Notion?


Ah yes, selling me something that is already available but is just locked behind software. And then trying to frame that as somehow a good thing for customers. Just insulting.
I cancelled it when they started to crack down on family plans with separate households. It just wasn’t worth the money to me anymore. I wonder how much more price hikes the remaining customers are going to tolerate. At some point it becomes cheaper to just outright buy music…
Unless you have a massive marketing budget, it’s futile. Any such app, and that includes social media in general, needs a massive user base to be viable. And outside of a geeky minority, most people wouldn’t care it’s open source.
