No, you’re a sad clown. With no ideas.

Thanks for shitting in something you know nothing about. You’re a big boy!

Okay wait - I went to your comments before blocking you and you’re not a troll or an idiot - so what the fuck? Are you literally saying democracy is infeasible?

Do you really just hate the Democrats so much that you dont’ see any way out? Surely you would vote third party or something right?

I dunno. You’re just being a dick so maybe that’s the answer but I thought I’d try just in case.

  • Holy shit, it’s you!

My dude. You’re just not grokking the American people. Look at your example. Look at it:

    Are we winning yet?

I’d like to thank everyone for my most upvoted post on lemmy ever. Not only have you upvoted it to the top for like 2 days you commented the shit out of it. I’d like to take this opportunity to say fuck the mods of this instance. This was my second post coming off a 30 day ban and I want to say these fucking mods have been nothing but bitches. I’ve never been more attacked on any other instance, subreddit, forum, etc. then I have been in this fucking instance. Not only have I been attacked I’ve been told my memes arent memey enough again and again.

I’ll be honest, I do not know how to make a meme but I keep posting just to piss in these mods cheerios.

Thanks lemmy.world/politicalmemes for being the worst community I’ve ever been a part of.

So your guy here really thinks this is reddit. Like, his first concern is about how many upvotes he got. Then he throws a tantrum because the mods are “bitches”. Okay. So this thread is your great example of what we should do?

Violent revolution. Just say it. That’s what you want Americans to do. No need to be coy. You can say it. And that’s okay - I get that it would be fun to watch in the news. But that’s not likely for a few reasons. Not least of which is, a full frontal assault on the army is not likely to work.

And really, unless you’re here, on the back roads, you won’t understand it anyway. America must seem like a fictional story from reading about it and watching the crazy crap that’s always going on. That’s why actually living in it (or any country) is so different. Florida isn’t actually Florida as it is in the news. It’s better - and worse - but not the same at all.

So, outside of violent revolution, any other thoughts? I’m guessing no, which is fine. It’s our problem to work out isn’t it. Thanks for the input. Clearly there are some people who (are ostensibly American and who) think it’s a good idea.

  • Again - what’s the alternative. Seriously. Take your time.

Is it amassing at the state house with armor and placards? Possibly a sit-in? Are you suggesting we take over a university administration building? Reading Anarchist’s Cookbook and making some black powder bombs and smoking banana peels? JFC. GI.

    WHAT. What do you got.

Nothing. For the last year, anytime I ask this question, that’s the ultimate answer. You got a nose full of attitude. Great. That’s great, kids. You’ll go far with that. It’s a wonder you haven’t made any headway at all in any aspect of governmental power already.

  • The article is by Mike Masnick, founder of Techdirt. To wit:

Jul 29, 2023Mike Masnick, who founded Techdirt in 1998, writes for an influential audience of lawmakers, C.E.O.s and activists. Somehow, he’s still an optimist about the promise of technology.

Well if he’s got the ear of influential muckety-mucks what is he telling them? Who is his Senator? Also, not to nitpick but he doesn’t actually sound optimistic.

Ooh he’s credited with coining “the Streisand effect” so that’s cool.

  • mmmm Pretty sure the fucking plan is to get elected? And then, outnumber republiQans in the House and Senate where applicable?

In the absence of literally anything other than the economic boycotts floating on social media as a pipe dream, it seems to be not only achievable but also sound.

It requires leftists to support Democratic candidates though. OR to support a candidate that Democrats can vote for. Either is fine. But it has to be one or the other.

Given the garment-rending “oohhh democracy is so corrupt” “both sides bad bro” “your vote doesn’t matter” whinging our randomly appointed leftist representatives can not quit with, it seems like we’re going to need the whole two years to get anything together.
