Eh, I’m an Australian who works with old British machinery, so I’m used to thinking in Imperial too. You’ll never get away from it, not in our lifetimes.
I jumped off Reddit’s cliff and landed here just like many other Lemmings.

Diesel is equivalent to 2 €/Liter in Australia right now. Given that the country runs on diesel, its a nightmare. Even the few people who don’t own cars are hurting, because the ships that bring in food run on diesel, the trucks and trains that bring the food from the ports to the rest of the country run on diesel. The grain producers and cattle farms, some of which are the size of small countries, all run on diesel. The cost of diesel is hitting everyone.

5/32"? What in the washing machines per football pitch kind of archaic measuring system is that?

My car is 46 years old. Average vehicle in Australia is 10-12 years old. People who exclusively lease new cars are nuts! Assuming petrol is still around I’ll keep my car going as long as I can - and even then I’ll only swap an electric drivetrain into it. There’s nothing wrong with the rest of the car

I don’t use any android apps for calls, but I wonder if this is the same issue preventing the earpiece speaker from working. Do you get sound on speakerphone? I do get sound from eg. Youtube in the Fennec browser, so sound from Android does work.

Yep, my primary phone is a Sony Xperia 10 IV on SailfishOS. If I had a working camera and could take a call without being forced to use speakerphone I’d be over the moon, but as it is it’s pretty neat and there aren’t otherwise too many day to day issues.

You’re right, its shit. Fennec via Android has to be called up way too often. But, to their credit, the android compat layer is second to none

Do you have access to HKEY_CURRENT_USER in the registry? You can usually edit this even without admin rights.
I went back to the old Win10 right click menu by this method on my work PC, which sped things up substantially
Beats dying of lung cancer
Same way my grandad quit smoking. Dad used to slip horse hairs into some of his cigarettes so when he’d go to take a drag he could never be sure if he was going to end up with a throat full of horse hair or if he picked a lucky one. Scared him straight, he never smoked again.
I went out of my way to find a dumb TV locally for my grandfather and it was literally impossible. He just needs TV channels, but noooo - now every time he turns it on he has to get past a million screens trying to sell him shit or launch Youtube before he can watch the 6 oclock news followed by the football.
But its the left who are the American Idiots! /s

Debian Testing then
So do I, but I still want to be allowed to drive for fun
100% agree with your argument but I’ll never not see the name “Sean” and immediately think “Seen” rather than “Shawn”
I’ve restored a few classics and like to think I know what I’m doing. I’ll put on a dress for you, but I’m not shaving my beard

Nah I’ll give the Americans this one. I don’t use metric time either
I just go with 1.6 because its still easy enough to do in your head.
Eg. 60mi = 60 + (60/2) + (60/10) = 96km
I agree that missing these things are features IMO.
Typing this reply from SailfishOS with working VoLTE, MMS and all the things. Occasionally I have to restart a service but overall its pretty good
