  • It’s funny how my opinion of this really is:

Linux > Only using a smartphone (GrapheneOS) > Only using a smartphone (LineageOS) > Only using a smartphone (ARM Linux) > Literally not having a computer at all > Returning to the woods and living completely off-grid for the rest of my sorry days > Screaming into the void hoping it claims me > Chromebook > Mac > Windows

I just did Linux/Chromebook(derogatory)/Mac/Windows but it really didn’t capture my disdain for the last 3 enough

  • Not anymore, but when collars were first added to clothing it was for comfort. It was in the mid 1400s, and clergy wore really stiff tunics with high necks, so they started wearing collared shirts underneath them for comfort. Shirts were also exclusively undergarments at the time.

After those came the big ruffly Elizabethan collars for wealth/status symbols, then detachable collars (shirts were still underwear!), and then WWI happened, and soldiers were issued soft shirts instead of stiff outer clothes as outerwear since it was more practical. That then leads us to the collared shirts of today because that preference came to civilian life from the war.

  • Yeah, I tend to agree. I fairly intentionally only really use the airships for fast travel, and it’s not even that bad of a game to walk around in under that restriction. Getting from Gridania to Limsa is pretty bad, but that’s specifically why I allowed myself the airships. Did it once, never again xD I’m sure once I get a chocobo it’ll be better.

I’m debating starting a challenge character eventually where I do minimal aetherite crystal atunement, so on death I’d go back to whatever starter city I picked. Probably some other restrictions too, but that’s the idea for now
