Not a big deal as long as that’s communicated to customers ahead of time. Really frustrating when it isn’t.
I think in this context they’re only talking about apps that are no longer maintained. So it is the OG reddit replacement that isn’t being maintained. But yeah, kind of weird wording all throughout.

I really don’t mean to be disrespectful but it sounds like you’ve been lucky enough to never have anything like this happen to you. I’m glad for you, I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. But please realize you’re talking about an idealistic view that doesn’t match, at least my own, reality.
I know DoorDash is expensive, I’m fine paying the prices and tipping the drivers extra well. The service is useful and important to me. And taking care of the drivers with tips and them taking care of me with service IS my community. I love those people that bring me food and it means the world to me that I can get the food I need, when I need it, with such little friction. (Which btw, is not pizza and Chinese food. I WISH I could eat those things 😭) That’s well worth the extra costs I’m paying. Plus I get to support local businesses that I otherwise wouldn’t be able to patronize.
If you have issues with DoorDash or gig economy type stuff, I’d urge you to think about legislation or unionization type things that would help and evangelize for those, rather than taking it out on the patrons and drivers.

You have no idea how helpful DoorDash/Ubereats is for people with health issues and no support network. I’m not going to share any of my details but I’d be in a much worse situation if I couldn’t rely on DoorDash for meals.

idk, I use a gaming PC for that stuff.
The Mac’s are for work and creation.

I have a 2019 MacBook Pro and stopped updating it at Sonoma. The new OSes are just too much for that Intel chip anyway.
The M-series processors are amazing though, I’ve had such a good experience with them.

I’m still in that 2nd half, so keep posting everyone!

the ‘soup’ typo is perfect here lol

Life is suffering

The problem is that cats can’t evaluate risk the way humans can. A cat may choose to go outside, just as it may choose to run across a road, approach a coyote, eat something toxic, or wander onto someone else’s property. We don’t usually treat an animal’s immediate preference as the final authority on what’s best for it.
A cat wanting to go outside isn’t evidence that unrestricted outdoor access is in its best interest any more than a dog wanting to chase traffic is evidence that traffic is safe.

Agreed with this. I love cats and want them to live long, safe, and happy lives inside.

Honestly your cat may have backed the fox down a little bit. If the cat runs, the fox immediately goes into hunt mode and the cat is prey. If the cat stands its ground, the fox might have been debating whether this was worth it or not.

Kind of Americana/nostalgia but The Andy Griffith Show really does this well. In fact, I feel like a lot of the older shows from the 60s did this.

I read the first trilogy of the Red Rising series by Pierce Brown recently and couldn’t put it down. I didn’t expect to like it that much but, that story really got me.

I’ve seen republicans with this take too: “Wait when did we become the thin-skinned ones?”
It used to be Druid because I liked the flavor and the ‘ranged’ melee style of Feral. However, I’ve swapped to Paladin since Blizzard nerfed the range from most Feral abilities. Paladin does it better now AND gets to wear plate armor so kind of a win/win for me. Having something that can tank and DPS is my biggest factor for playing any class.
