Good point about the snitch. If it was an actual person, I feel like we’d all know their name by now, no matter how hard they tried to keep it under wraps.

Off the top of my head,

• Retinol can damage your skin if used without sun protection and can cause permanent eye dryness if it gets in your eyes
• Many skin products contain varying levels of acids that need to be used according to directions
• Niacinamide requires a prescription for certain amounts that could be reached with OTC products if used in excess

and then there’s just the general fucking up of skin oil balance, etc. that can set off years of fighting dry skin or acne.
