There was this Olympic sprinter who went to her kid’s school for one of those parent-child events, and the race was just ridiculous levels of skewed. There’s a video of it, and I think it made the rounds as a lighthearted piece on some news sites.

What if your GPU or RAM dies?

I mean as long as your PC is still viable, sure. But at some point even a partial downgrade can be an upgrade in some ways.

As old computers age out of gaming-worthiness and/or just die, new computers are built to replace them, and the high cost of memory may force some to get less RAM.

This was the smallest Bluetooth chip back in 2017. I can’t even imagine what else they can fit into the form factor of a USB-C plug nowadays.

C-to-C is even worse because Usb-C requires a chip in the connector, and you never know what that chip is capable of. Usb-A would only have a chip in it if it’s been tampered with.

Some people do, for sure, but lots of people don’t get a job until college age, or in some cases until after graduating.

Rollerblade wheels are great for hardwood floors, so they don’t damage them. They also feel nicer to move around on. Plastic casters are just shit in general.

The issue is that a key piece of evidence that should have been a very obvious find at first glance wasn’t found at the scene, but only later after the officer had stopped searching the bag and driven to the police station.

Everybody thinks advertising doesn’t work on them.

Most advertising isn’t trying to convince you to buy product X that’s being advertised. It’s trying to get you to think about the brand itself. They’re saying “Buy this fridge from Brand A” but they’re not actually trying to sell you a fridge, what they really want is for you to think of Brand A the next time you’re looking for a new appliance or some other product they sell.
