You’re right the mini 13 was 5.4 inches, the smallest iPhone 16 looks to be 6.1 and the pixel 9 is 6.3
It doesn’t feel that big but compared to the mini, big.

They’re headquartered in the US. GDPR being an EU statute, won’t hold much weight with the current administration; and since they’re filing for bankruptcy the data will be sold to the highest bidder. Likely as not they were selling access to their db when they were in operation.
HIPAA may have a claim on the data that could give some privacy protections, however since people’s insurance wasn’t involved and the process didn’t go through a doctor’s office I doubt it.

15·10 days agoMost previous “recalls” were software updates. This is a mechanical connection of a steel strip running along the windshield. It’s a sheet of stainless that can become a sail on the highway and rip itself off of the truck. I personally think a 4’x3" panel of 1/8th inch stainless steel flying at my car while I’m driving 65mph to be a pretty big deal.
So, this is not a speedbump. Furthermore, this highlights all the bullshit cost cutting measures that were placed on the project and most of all shows that Musk actively makes any tech he touches worse.
Edit: I thought this was a recall for the rear quarter panels that have been separating as well.

2·11 days agoI’m lucky to have only had one system nuked by a faulty power supply that shut down during a kernel update.
I usually just reinstalled back then. But I didn’t get into it till the late nineties. Back when Ian was still on the list serves.
Unless you mean nuking the OS or borking the bootloader. Then yeah, countless.
Just because I and my family benefit now, doesn’t mean it’ll stay that way. Also again, I don’t want to support or platform an app that charges others, who are not me, to share their own collection.
If they want to charge for the Plex TV or Plex Movies they host, and leave the app free of cost for a person’s own personal collection to be shared. That’s fine.
I have no confidence that’ll happen though.
Crash the economy and stock prices. Create a forever war for profiteering. Stick dissidents and the poor into for profit prisons. Consolidate more wealth at the top. The system is working as designed.
