The best advice I learned from my manager was 2 parts.

1. Try and understand their point of view, you may need to adjust your actions if their point of view is seeing you as not helpful/annoying (looking back i was being very obnoxious, sending too many emails)

2. Have a work self and a non work self. I was very shy and that was not looked highly on at my job so I tried my best little by little to open up more

Is this real? Just listened to Nextlanders take on it this morning and this seems very unexpected!!!

I grew up with and worked at McDs in high school and college. It used to be a family place (play places, fun colors) it used to be a friendly place (you could have birthdays there, cashiers were nice, you’d run into people you know), it used to have prices that were reasonable/cheap.

It is none of those things anymore. Why on earth would I go there when there’s a burger place right across the road thar costs maybe $1 or $2 more and is actually good?

I’m at least glad it’s not yet another bigger truck. I just want a vehicle to get from A to B that can actually fit things in the bed

I am excited, this is what my husband and I have been waiting for - a regular vehicle with no bells and whistles just to raise the price

I was giving him positive reinforcement his first year (honestly thought it would work with him to reinforce the good things he does), this year is the brutal truth year.

I am genuinely having a hard time with my Gen Z employee. I have to go through everything step by step each time and it just seems like nothing sticks. I even create documentation for him and he just can’t follow it fully.

I’m truly baffled and any advice is welcome.
