Same thing he did with twitter employees. Micromanaging is one of the worst traits a manager can have.
Being able to pause and buy whatever products you see on screen is so insanely late stage capitalism.
I try to prioritize the community on my instance. If there isn’t one, I post on the most active instance.
GL.Inet sells routers that run openwrt out of the box. I’m not claiming they’re guaranteed to not be modified to collect data, but just giving an example that there are consumer grade products out there that are better options, you just need to look for them.
My gas oven has vents like this. So when it’s actively burning gas to get it up to temp, that’s where the exhaust comes out.
They’re recommended because of historical compatibility, not repairability. Also, it was because of the older thinkpads that were excellent with linux and built like tanks that gave them that reputation. Lastly, as another comment in this thread quoted, the failing score was because they were missing a french repairability index thingy, whatever that is, so not exactly a “technical” issue.
What version are you on? I’m on 2024.12.4 and don’t have it.
My oven’s vents point directly up my face. So when you stand in front of the stovetop while baking something, you’re directly exposed to the fumes of burning gas.
I work in the cybersecurity field and I hate that the official discord server of one of the international orgs I’m involved in requires a phone number to participate. The irony.
Well at least it wasn’t just a poop emoji…yet.
Not just him, the entire cast are big names. It will be weird seeing characters like that all played by A-listers. There comes a point where you’re too famous to not be seen as the character but yourself playing a character. For me the worst is Leo DiCaprio. I just keep seeing the actor regardless of the character he plays. Even Brad Pitt can sometimes disappear into his role somewhat.
It depends. What were you expecting and what was your takeaway after watching? Because to me, it didn’t have anything to do with the time travel or scifi aspects at all.
The main point of the film is summed up with the line “If you could see your whole life from start to finish, would you change things?”. It was about free will and the main character’s decision to let things play out knowing her daughter will die at an early age, because if she didn’t have her, she wouldn’t have experienced the life she had with her daughter at all. It’s a philosophical story wrapped in a scifi film.
I was actually surprised Netflix took this on given some themes and scenes can be considered controversial today. So I’m cautiously optimistic because I feel like they might change some of it to tone it down.
That’s my secret cap, my bidet is only connected to the cold tap all the time.
