  • Remember his question and speech early on in the series (paraphrasing a bit here):

“What do we do here?” General confusion, Dedra quotes from the ISB handbook and is told WRONG

“You want security? Call the Navy, launch a regiment of troopers. We are healthcare providers, we treat sickness. We identify symptoms. We locate germs whether they arise from within or have come from outside. The longer we wait to identify a disorder, the harder it is to treat the disease.”

He has no illusions as to what his job is, and is clearly comfortable with the idea of dehumanizing any and all potential dissidents of the empire’s order. He is a professional at crushing opposition to a totalitarian regime and knows it, takes pride in it even. Whether he maintains some semblance of workplace comradery or not, whether he thinks Ghorman was a bad idea or not, is a moot point. He even says security is an illusion, that’s not his goal, to him some people are simply not people. Merely germs to be cleansed, a disease to be eradicated. So, I would say objectively not a good person.

  • Farcry 6 is neat, but I like Farcry 5 for this! Curbstomp fundamentalist religious cultists with redneck accents, reclaim the beauty of rural America! Take a break to fish in the majestic waterways of Montana, then go carpet bomb yall’qaeda camps while listening to some chill country/folk! Take a second to admire the breathtaking mountain scenery before hitting the detonator on a mountain of explosives and demolish a hideous fascist monument while parachuting away to safety! This game has ALL the catharsis for you 🤠

  • That also depends, I have a 2000 silverado 1500. It’s stock v6 but has a short cab/long bed. It is dwarfed by modern full size trucks and roughly the same size as today’s colorados, just with more bed space. I do not daily drive it (it’s a hand me down I have my own car). I have been able to help many friends of friends that I am fortunate enough to now call friends myself. Shoutout to my turkish buddies I get lunch with sometimes 🤤 turkish food mmm

  • The first Kingdom Come: Deliverance was a great game and I think it should be played first, but I understand it’s old clunky and unoptimized. These days it should be played with certain QoL mods like unlimited saving, instant herb picking (no animation), richer merchants, and trough washing deluxe/clean Henry (honestly I don’t want to spend all my time going to the baths or looking shite). There are others, probably about 7-8 total, that I recommend but you get the idea.

  • I’m pretty sure this is why andor flew under the radar/gets mixed reviews. Even with friends who are huge Star wars nerds like me, I get ‘but it’s boring!’ a lot, mostly because it builds up to the climax in each three-episode arc. There isn’t necessarily a huge, inexplicable ‘OK time for action’ scene in every episode just because. To enjoy it you need to be plugged in, absorbing the dialogue and connecting the dots scene to scene to understand how the plot got to the action and why it’s important, and if you do you understand the tension buildup. Otherwise it just seems like two episodes of babbling and then some stuff happens, while you’re still staring at your phone. At no point do any of the characters stop and explain what’s happening before or during an important scene, it’s all show-don’t-tell. One of my best friends is working on his PhD, super bright guy, huge Star wars nerd. Has all the baby yoda this, clone trooper helmet that. I finally understood when we were watching something on stream once and I’m like “what’s that? That noise?” It was his other screen on in the background watching a Twitch stream :( now I understand he’s never not had a second screen going with a stream lmao feel like I’m taking crazy pills. We might as well pipe video of that stupid railway running coin grabber mobile game directly to the cortex of every citizen atp
