What a time to be alive.
I have an aunt named Karen. I have never asked her what she thought about that name being a sort of slur now.
My grandpa held out for a long time, but begrudgingly went with Richard towards the end…just like Michael Bolton in Office Space.
Should have went with my parents. “You’re expected to get As and Bs. Anything else and you’re in trouble.”
Which taught me to only work hard enough to get a B in every class.
You do need the person’s name as well, but yeah that’s just about it. It’s not great.
Next thing you know people aren’t going to know that EMACS stands for Eight Megabytes And Constantly Swapping. Or why that’s funny.
If someone has your account and routing number they can pull money out of your account. This is literally how autopay works for your internet or credit card or whatever.
Granted doing so without authorization is fraud and the account you pull into is going to be investigated, but that’s all you really need. Two numbers.
How the application is started is a separate question. I don’t know enough about Wine to know if it would install a Windows Service as a user service in systemd or init.d or something like that. But if the app is started it can do anything it wants subject to that user’s permissions.
People are allowed to like their food cooked however they want it. There is no objective standard for how something tastes.
The very first time I ordered steak, I was asked how I wanted it done. As I was a child, I had no clue what that meant. I was told the names of how you could cook steak without knowing what they meant. I settled on “well done” because I wanted them to do a good job of cooking it.
I ate my steak well-done for probably 30 years after that. I now like it medium, but I still will enjoy a well-done cut. There’s no need for anyone to be a snob about it.
Yes. There’s no sandboxing in Wine/Proton. It’s just another application running with the privileges of the user running it. So it can do anything any other process could do with that user’s credentials. This is one reason why Wine recommends that you never run it as root.
Yes. Those are the only two options.
Guys…he might hate trans and homeless people, but check out those dank memes his staffer is posting.
Yeah no way this is real.
I’m saying that’s why he did it. It’s guaranteed to be talked about and he can pretend to not know what he did. There’s nothing wrong with calling it out and telling people not to shop there. It’s actually a good thing.
Sir or Madam, I’m a fan of the Cleveland Guardians and the Columbus Blue Jackets. Both of those are losing causes and will probably be forever.
Those of us on Debian (stable) won’t see this update for 2 years. Haha.
The $14.88 sale is free advertising. Plus the guy can say it’s just the woke trying to cancel him when he gets his Fox News interview.
For a lot of people, they feel better being able to put “those people in their place.” Sure it costs them more to throw these people in jail, but then they get to feel superior. This is Donald Trump’s main policy – you, a mediocre white man, can now look down on other people, which makes you feel better about yourself.
