In a tense meeting last week, top Trump aide Stephen Miller and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem demanded that immigration agents seek to arrest 3,000 people a day, according to two sources familiar with the meeting.

Scoop: Stephen Miller, Noem tell ICE to supercharge immigrant arrests

Edit: It’s important to note that the reason that things are getting so brutal, why they’re grabbing up citizens, not believing IDs, etc. is because this quota is impossible on a good day, and really really impossible when there are protesters interfering by exercising their pesky 1st Amendment Rights.

Could we get three thousand lily-white rich people to volunteer to get arrested and released every day so ICE can leave everybody else alone for a minute?

“Flood the zone” is a political strategy in which a political figure aims to gain media attention, disorient opponents and distract the public from undesirable reports by rapidly forwarding large volumes of newsworthy information to the media.[1][2][3][4] The strategy has been attributed to U.S. president Donald Trump’s former chief political strategist Steve Bannon.[4][5][6]

I think those were from a joint taskforce exercise, not being handed out for quotas.
