This video is actually not clickbait. The entire thing is exactly what the title describes.

It’s kind of a dilemma for me. If media entities don’t participate in clickbait, they’ll simply lose market share to ones that do. But also, it’s annoying as hell. I avoid it, not out of spite, but because why would I click on a video or article with a title and thumbnail that tells me absolutely nothing about the content?

It’s a legit problem when I go back to reference something later and I can’t find it because you actually can’t search based on the content of the media itself, you have to somehow memorize the clickbait title.

You can’t even try remembering the tile because YouTube lets uploaders change the title and thumbnail to get better engagement. I noticed it with veritasium after they dropped their teflon video they changed the title and thumbnail while I was watching it

YT allows for A/B testing of titles and thumbnails but a couple hours later, that testing ends and the title remains the same.
