Yeah, that’s not going to do anything. There’s too much money in killing the secondhand market.

Find out what? People will still buy their consoles and games. Nothing will change. I, personally, won’t but we are just a drop in the bucket. I stopped buying EA and Activision games decades ago because the companies suck. They should be finding out sometime soon, right?

Just what you said 👌 I’ve owned ps1 to ps5. If i can’t buy discs anymore, might as well get a gaming pc for the first time in my life and choose from a much broader library of games. I will (sadly) not be buying a ps6 if we’re on that disc-less path.

I stopped buying any games from EA, Activision and Ubisoft years back. Sony doesn’t get near as much of my business as they used to, and I’m fine with stopping altogether.

Nintendo still manages to pull me back in every time there’s a Zelda or a Metroid, but I never buy any cross platform game on their hardware anymore.

PC remains a more work intensive platform to play on, but that also brings a lot of freedom with it. So despite my preference for the ease of a console, anti consumer practices change my mind in one Hell of a hurry.
