We did this on Mastodon! Met office or something put out a form to submit names for a storm or summat and someone recommended suggesting names like Aramco and BP and a bunch of us did it. I don’t know if it got traction elsewhere, I live under a rock.
We could name all extreme weather events after them. Hurricane Exxon, Cyclone Aramco, Storm BP.
