Is it just a bunch of unpleasant people getting rich who ask obnoxious questions and refuse to answer the questions that they’re being asked?

    Since you’re asking obnoxiously? Yeah

I was like …Yes mf just like said, on top of its evil use in surveillance and war crimes, poisoning the environment, destroying our water and electeicty resources and inflating bubble economy on the expense of losing actual jobs

karp looks like he just came out from the psychiatrist, with a mental breakdown. Thiel might not be pleased with karp right now.

Thiel looks and acts pretty much the same. I think he revels in this sort of behaviour.

my favorite thing about your comment is how desperately pathetic it is to set a narrative to silence the message that the post is conveying. ironically mirroring the manic panic of Alex Carp in an attempt to silence questions being raised in regards to the legitimacy of AI.

you even put it in ALL CAPS just like he was shouting over the reporter. how quaint.

they do say that pets often take on the appearance and mannerisms of their masters…

Could you elaborate in which way you consider this to be political? The reference to the “war fighter” which mirrors the current administration’s rethoric?

AI has to work for the warfighter and for enterprises

Do you feel like AI is working for you?

It’s not supposed to work for us. I’m shocked by the honesty. AI is good for “the system”, at the expense of individuals. I’m a little annoyed the clip cuts off there.

Right, Karp is a perfect product of a system that values money and who you know above all else. And will keep that system rolling.

That’s what I thought too. This isn’t a mental breakdown. This is someone forgetting to keep up appearances. This is someone speaking his truth, because this is actually how it works. There is a lot of money in the military complex and drone warfare is quickly become the reality of war. That it sometimes targets schools, is a shame, but it’s less costly than sending actual soldiers to the battlefield. I believe these are the kind of visions companies like palintir and the US army are build on.

Claude didn’t just target the Minab school; it double tapped it. Also nuremberg etc. etc. Seriously the sooner you guys stop giving any benefit of the doubt to these chess players, the sooner we can fix society. Any day now.

Yeah I mean he literally could have just said “I believe that we can have a productive discussion and find common ground in our goals for the future of the technology and the prosperity of the nation” or some such smarmy non-answer. Like…dude immediately assumed hostility instead of listening and seeing the kid gloves he was being handled with already lmao

Seems he’s perpetually on the back foot and feeling some high anxiety about the bullshit he’s peddling.

Honestly imagine how much better the traffic for somewhere like greater LA could be made by an AI system using cameras and variable speed limit signs to control the traffic flow.

If they used A.I to make our lives better in just a few ways I think society in general would be so much more tolerant of their shit.

Yeah I have that thought regularly. These idiots can’t just keep to themselves and be rich and do literally whatever the fuck they want, they have to be in the public eye and fuck with our lives. But so far none of them seem mentally stable enough to maintain a good image if they’re in front of the camera enough without a pr person filtering the things they say.

So I hope it gets to them that no one likes them. I hope they feel supremely lonely. Like that time Elon Musk thought he would be super cool and stream playing PoE but ended up rage quitting in silence while crying (in his private jet) because twitch chat spammed stuff like “Grimes will never love you” and telling him to pay child support. I hope they feel like that every day.

They’ve been feeling like that already, they don’t need anyone to confront them to feel miserable. It’s because they’re miserable people that they do the shit they do.

    Does Ai work for me?

Draw me a wingless bird made out of bacon flying in a frying pan with jet engines.

    Palntir “I got you fam”.

So useful and only took 2 kilowatts and 27 gallons of water to produce!

      That would do well IRL.

      “How did your meeting go?”

“Nah, I’m going to answer ‘what do you have for lunch today?’ instead. What? What do you mean ‘why?’ I don’t think you give a damn about my lunch, do you Sandra? Real nice.”

Looks like his eyelids are hanging way low the first half. Incoherent lash out. Is he holding a passport?

I’d say it’s cocaine or similar.
