FWIW, Costco bulk eggs run < $4 a dozen. This is in $$$ NorCal.
But if you want the good stuff, Trader Joe’s sells these ‘dark yolks’ eggs. Worth every penny.

Most people I have seen cook eggs have the heat set way too high. Im pretty sure it’s due to impatience.
possibly. but also maybe people just grew up thinking you’re supposed to need a steak knife to cut your eggs. kind of like how most people think folgers instant is exactly the same as the $20/lb coffee
