The (presumably) Feds in the picture standing around with their arms crossed looking at the minor damage to the gate don’t look that terrorized to me, but what do I know, I’m not a big brain cop.
Plus, shit like this happens all the time. If you turn into the gate lanes for a bunch of federal buildings and your not there for a reason, they will detain you, even if it was an accident (they are very clearly marked, some have entire exit ramps to themselves). Every year or so, someone does this, panics and/or does something stupid… For the DMV, this is a just a normal Tuesday.
